About Lipsi and how to get there.
Lipsi (Lipsos) is a small island in the Dodecanese and is a tranquil holiday destination for those that want to spend time in unspoilt Greece.
The Elianna Studios are conveniently located at the heart of the village where beaches, tavernas, shops, island mini-bus and port can be easily reached.
There are several beautiful beaches on Lipsi, each with its own character. Liendou beach is approx 10 minutes walk from the studios. Beaches at Katsadia, Khoklakoura and Platis Yialos can be reached on foot in approx 45 minutes or by the island mini-bus which runs from the harbour. The bus stop is only about 5 minutes walk from the studio.
The village winds up the hillside from the small port and amongst the narrow streets visitors can experience the slow pace of Greek Village Life.
The local shops sell a variety of fruit and vegetables and daily provisions. There are 2 bakeries which sell a variety of fresh bread, cakes and irresistible Greek Pies.
There is a Post Office and Bank on Lipsi although it is advisable to bring your currency in Euros with you.
There are several tavernas and cafes in the village and around the harbour. During the summer months, tavernas are also open at Katsadia and Platis Yialos beaches.
Lipsos is an ideal place to enjoy walking but there are also taxis and motor bike hire available on the island.

Travelling to Lipsi
Lipsos can be reached via a flight to Athens followed by a short internal flight to Leros Island (Olympic Airways) and finally by a short sea crossing on one of the scheduled boats from Leros to Lipsi.
Lipsi can also be reached from Samos, Kos, Kalymnos and Rhodes by using the seasonal Catamaran and Hydrofoil services.
A ferry service also operates from Piraeus to Lipsi.
